Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced System Repair Technician A to join their Maintenance team. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of plant electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair plant electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using maintenance manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and piping diagrams.
  • Install, remove, replace, and modify electrical, electronic, chemical, magnetic, pneumatic, hydraulic, sonic, and optical components.
  • Analyze circuitry and equipment performance using a variety of testing and diagnostic instruments.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly of equipment and components.
  • Complete soldering, brazing, and routine maintenance activities including cleaning, lubrication, testing, and overhauls.
  • Operate machine tools and related equipment during testing and repair processes.
  • Maintain and update electrical, electronic, pneumatic, wiring, and piping documentation.
  • Plan, install, test, and troubleshoot electrical power distribution systems.
  • Complete maintenance reports, sketches, drawings, forms, and parts lists.
  • Direct and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience working with industrial electro-mechanical and electronic equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.

Technical Skills Experience using industrial testing and diagnostic equipment such as:

  • Voltmeters and digital voltmeters
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Flow meters
  • Gauges
  • Harmonic analyzers
  • Leak detectors
  • Thermocouples
  • Vibrational and dynamic testers
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic, optical, sonic, and electronic testing equipment
  • Mobile personnel lifting equipment

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to preventative maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform moderately heavy physical work.
  • Frequently lift, move, and position equipment and materials.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform maintenance activities throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to safely operate tools and equipment required for the position.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and foundry environment.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, grease, dirt, and industrial noise.
  • Work performed throughout various areas of the facility.
  • Proper safety procedures and personal protective equipment are required.
