Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, strategy, and evolution of our enterprise infrastructure environment. In this role, you’ll architect and optimize storage, virtualization, compute, networking, and disaster recovery solutions that support critical business operations across the organization.

This is an opportunity for a strategic technical leader who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, evaluating emerging technologies, and designing highly available, secure, and scalable environments. You’ll partner with Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Operations teams to shape the future of our infrastructure platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and maintain enterprise infrastructure architectures for compute, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
  • Architect scalable Azure Local and virtualized infrastructure solutions to support business growth and resiliency.
  • Develop strategies for infrastructure modernization, capacity planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
  • Design and maintain enterprise disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, security, and performance of enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to implement integrated infrastructure solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish infrastructure standards, technical roadmaps, and best practices across storage, virtualization, and compute platforms.
  • Review and approve firmware, security patches, antivirus baselines, and infrastructure change requests.
  • Partner with vendors on solution design, product evaluations, and technology procurement.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and final-level escalation for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Assist with budgeting, hardware lifecycle planning, and infrastructure investment strategies.
  • Support a 24x7 enterprise data center environment and participate in critical infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Experience architecting and administering Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) or comparable hybrid infrastructure platforms.
  • Strong experience with enterprise virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise storage technologies, SAN/NAS architectures, backup, replication, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with Windows Server, clustering, high availability, and enterprise networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of software-defined networking and modern data center technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using PowerShell or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure security, patch management, governance, and change control.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and project leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft, VMware, or storage platform certifications.
  • Experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms such as Veeam, Rubrik, or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing highly available, mission-critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience supporting telecommunications or other high-availability enterprise environments.
