Job description

Champions Funding, a leading wholesale Non-QM mortgage lender, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lock Desk Analyst to support the company’s capital markets and rate lock operations. This role is responsible for accurately processing rate locks, monitoring pipeline exposure, and supporting loan funding efficiency within the Non-QM wholesale platform. The Lock Desk Analyst works closely with the Lock Desk Manager, SVP of Capital Markets, and Capital Markets team to ensure timely and accurate execution of rate locks and to help manage interest rate risk and pipeline performance., * Process and manage loan rate lock requests accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Monitor pipeline exposure and track lock expirations to support pipeline risk management.
  • Collaborate with Capital Markets, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure smooth loan funding and delivery processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all lock desk activity, including loan locks, extensions, and expirations.
  • Support hedging strategies and provide data for analysis of pipeline risk and profitability.
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding pipeline status, rate lock confirmations, and related inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and dashboards for management to monitor lock desk performance.
  • Ensure all lock desk activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and risk management., At Champions Funding, we are redefining Non-QM lending through innovation, speed, and control of our proprietary credit policies. As a Lock Desk Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting pipeline management, rate locks, and capital markets operations while gaining exposure to strategic funding processes within a fast-growing Non-QM mortgage platform.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Data-driven problem-solving?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Required: 1-3 years of experience in mortgage capital markets, loan operations, or lock desk support.

  • Understanding of Non-QM lending, rate locks, and mortgage pipeline management preferred.
  • Experience with Polly pricing platform is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Encompass LOS and capital markets tools preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.
