Job description

Location: Remote - Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available) SkillSet: React + Node, FullStack, AI Integration (candidates are vetted for React, Node, and applied-AI skills) About G2i is a leading hiring platform connecting companies with top-tier remote developers. Our platform facilitates both contract and full-time hiring, ensuring that clients are matched with pre-vetted engineers who meet their project needs. At G2i, we take developer health and well-being seriously - our mission is to create the best hiring experience by combining technical excellence with genuine care for the people behind the code. We foster meaningful connections between talented engineers and innovative companies around the world. About the Role We’re looking for experienced Full Stack Engineers with hands-on AI experience to join our developer network. In this role, you’ll design and ship scalable web applications using React.js on the front end and Node.js on the back end - and you’ll bring AI capabilities directly into the product, integrating large language models and AI services into real, user-facing features. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, optimize performance, and uphold high standards of code quality and reliability. You’re comfortable working in an AI-native engineering environment - both building AI-powered features and using modern AI tooling in your day-to-day workflow. Strong communication skills are key, as you’ll be working in a collaborative, remote-first environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript. Integrate LLMs and AI services into production features - structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic or tool-using workflows. Build and maintain the supporting data and retrieval layers for AI features (embeddings, vector search, context pipelines). Measure and improve AI feature quality, reliability, latency, and cost through evaluation and guardrails. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Implement best practices for platform engineering, performance optimization, and security. Work closely with DevOps to automate and streamline deployment processes. Write clean, testable, and efficient code, and participate in code reviews. Stay current with emerging AI and web technologies and share knowledge with peers.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or in similar roles. Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js. Hands-on experience integrating LLM / AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into production applications. Familiarity with RESTful APIs or GraphQL. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWT). Comfort working with modern AI-assisted development tools as part of your workflow. Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills. US citizenship or residency (no visa sponsorship available). Preferred Qualifications Experience building RAG systems and working with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar). Familiarity with agent/orchestration frameworks or the Model Context Protocol (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom tooling). Prompt engineering and experience with AI evaluation / observability tooling. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, MobX). Experience with modern JavaScript build tools (Webpack, Babel). Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha). Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
