Job description

The Data Analyst based in White Plains, NY, will play a key role in developing and enhancing data visualization solutions using PowerBI and Tableau. This position involves transforming legacy Excel models into dynamic dashboards, collaborating closely with the MFS team to deliver insightful analytics and data models. The analyst will also leverage Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools to optimize data integration and reporting. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and provide direction for PowerBI and Tableau dashboards and foundational data models.
  • Convert legacy Excel models into Tableau and/or PowerBI formats.
  • Collaborate with the MFS team to create visualization solutions based on provided requirements.
  • Assess data requirements and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Incorporate Microsoft 365 and Power Platform components into data solutions.
  • Connect to multiple source data systems across varied platforms.
  • Create databases of legacy information and link them to Tableau/PowerBI dashboards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4-year degree.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform including PowerApps, Excel, and Access.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI and Tableau visualization software.
  • General understanding of SQL database building and management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Keen understanding of PowerApps formulas and development methods.
  • Experience implementing solutions with multiple data sources.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools integration.
  • Experience with data modeling and advanced analytics techniques.

Special Considerations:

  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple data sources and complex data environments.
