Job description

The EDM Operator supports the tooling group in a fast-paced manufacturing business. The successful candidate must be a self-starter having a sense of ownership of their projects, and highly organized with a willingness to grow within the EDM group., * Electrode Design: Design precision electrodes from project data using Visi Tooling CAD software

NC Programming: Program electrodes efficiently utilizing Visi CAM software
Preparation & Setup: Cut electrode blanks and accurately mount them into Erowa holders
Electrode Machining: Operate and machine electrodes using Makino CNC electrode cutting machines
EDM Operation: Load, locate, and burn components using three Makino sinker EDM machines
Automation (Preferred): Utilize knowledge of Erowa electrode feeding robots to optimize workflows
ERP Tracking: Complete daily production tracking and data entry within the Epicor ERP system

Requirements

EDM Experience: Proven background working directly as an EDM Operator
Manufacturing Background: Experience in production and/or prototype injection molding
Industry Sector: Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector is strongly preferred
Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills with high attention to technical detail
Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Skills & Experience

Software: Hands-on experience with Visi CAD/CAM software
Equipment: Direct experience operating Makino sinker EDM and CNC electrode cutting machinery
ERP Systems: Prior exposure to Epicor ERP or similar manufacturing execution software
