Job description

  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Contribute to front-end development tasks, ensuring user-friendly interfaces and seamless user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and RESTful services for robust application functionality.
  • Manage version control using SVN and GitHub, ensuring code integrity and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Support database management activities involving SQL and MySQL, including query optimisation and data integrity checks.
  • Contribute to cloud-based infrastructure deployment and management on platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Assist in the development of automation scripts using VBA or Linux scripting to optimise operational processes.
  • Engage in continuous learning of new technologies and frameworks relevant to software development.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative software projects across various platforms, utilising a broad range of programming languages and tools. The successful candidate will be involved in application development, system optimisation, and collaborative project work within a fast-paced environment. A strong foundation in software development principles and a passion for technology are essential for this position., * Proven experience or strong familiarity with software development practices across multiple programming languages including JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, or VBA.

  • Experience with front-end development frameworks and tools is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of version control systems such as SVN and GitHub is essential.
  • Familiarity with API integration (RESTful services) and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous.
  • Understanding of database systems including SQL and MySQL; experience with data management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux; experience with application deployment on cloud infrastructure is a plus.
  • Prior involvement in application development projects demonstrating problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork is preferred.
