Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and implement APIs for seamless integration between systems and services.
  • Utilise version control tools including Git, SVN, GitHub, and Azure DevOps to manage code repositories effectively.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software reliability and performance optimisation.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to deploy, monitor, and optimise applications in cloud environments.
  • Implement front-end development solutions with a focus on user experience using modern frameworks and libraries.
  • Maintain documentation of technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and user manuals.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies (including AI) and industry best practices to continuously improve development processes.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various programming languages and frameworks, with a passion for creating innovative software solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to the development of scalable and efficient applications across multiple platforms. Salary is pro-rated to weekly hours FTE., * Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, C, VBA, SQL (MySQL), and RESTful API development.

  • Experience with front-end development frameworks and libraries.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services including AWS and Azure for application deployment and management.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems for server-side development and deployment.
  • Ability to develop applications using.NET framework and utilise APIs for system integration.
  • Experience working with application development tools such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
