Job description

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, and Ruby on Rails.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and implement APIs for seamless integration between systems and services.
Utilise version control tools including Git, SVN, GitHub, and Azure DevOps to manage code repositories effectively.
Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software reliability and performance optimisation.
Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to deploy, monitor, and optimise applications in cloud environments.
Implement front-end development solutions with a focus on user experience using modern frameworks and libraries.
Maintain documentation of technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and user manuals.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies (including AI) and industry best practices to continuously improve development processes.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various programming languages and frameworks, with a passion for creating innovative software solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to the development of scalable and efficient applications across multiple platforms. Salary is pro-rated to weekly hours FTE., * Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, C, VBA, SQL (MySQL), and RESTful API development.

Experience with front-end development frameworks and libraries.
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
Hands-on experience with cloud services including AWS and Azure for application deployment and management.
Knowledge of Linux operating systems for server-side development and deployment.
Ability to develop applications using.NET framework and utilise APIs for system integration.
Experience working with application development tools such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
