Design Engineer

The primary duties of the Routed Systems Engineer will be to use the PTC Creo tool suite to develop 2D schematics/P&IDs and 3D CAD designs for complex wire harnesses and hydraulic systems.

Experience gained using a major 3D modelling CAD and/or Electrical Schematic package would be useful but not essential, as full tool skill training will be provided.

In addition to design support, VI also offers a range of Routed Systems consultancy and software services. A key part of this role will be to develop your knowledge and practical skills sufficiently to support both our internal Software Group and our external customer base.

Main Responsibilities

• Schematics/P&IDs creation
• 3D CAD design
• Modelling of 3D Creo Parametric component parts
• Generating Creo Schematics symbols and associated metadata
• Generating and managing component libraries
• Participating in product development activities
• Supporting Software development and implementations
• Providing tool skill expertise to customers
• Delivering training programs to customers on and off-site
• Attending exhibitions in the UK, Europe and the US
