Job description

The Business Systems Manager serves as the strategic liaison between business departments and Information Technology, leading cross-functional initiatives that improve business processes, optimize enterprise systems, and deliver measurable business value. This role partners with business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, define business requirements, and lead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation. The Business Systems Manager ensures technology investments align with organizational objectives while driving process standardization, organizational change, and continuous improvement across the enterprise. It will also guide the IT teams in implementing these items. This position requires a combination of business acumen, project leadership, process improvement expertise, and technical understanding to successfully bridge the gap between business operations and technology., Business Partnership -

  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business departments.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.

Project & Process Leadership -

  • Lead cross-functional business initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable business value.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate resources across departments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Drive business process improvements and workflow standardization.

Enterprise Systems -

  • Partner with the ERP Applications team and business stakeholders to optimize enterprise applications and business processes.
  • Evaluate enhancement requests and prioritize initiatives based on business value.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-user adoption.

Reporting & Business Analysis -

  • Evaluate reporting requests to ensure they provide measurable business value.
  • Establish reporting standards, improve data integrity, and promote self-service analytics.
  • Gather and document business requirements, process flows, and success criteria.

Change Management & Continuous Improvement -

  • Develop communication and training plans to support organizational change.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI, and process optimization.
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.

Vendor & Documentation Management -

  • Coordinate with software vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.
  • Maintain business requirements, project documentation, process documentation, and project status reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Business Analysis, ERP, Project Management, or Business Process Improvement.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, ERP systems, business process improvement, and organizational change management.
  • Experience with Acumatica or another manufacturing ERP platform preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or similar professional certification preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Power BI, and business process mapping tools preferred., * Ability to work at a desk and computer workstation for extended periods
  • Standard office environment; no heavy lifting or physical requirements beyond normal office work
