Job description

  • Build and maintain ingestion pipelines: You create secure, automated and reliable data flows from ERP (D365 F&O via Dataverse/Synapse Link), CRM, MES, production systems and other sources.
  • Translate business needs into data models: You work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and other teams to understand their processes and ensure the platform supports all domains.
  • Define and enforce modelling standards: You deliver clean, well-structured and trustworthy datasets that serve as the foundation for reporting and analytics. This is a backend role, you won’t be building Power BI reports, but you own the foundation they rely on.
  • Implement data governance practices: You introduce validation rules, lineage, cataloguing and clear ownership so data becomes findable and people across the organisation can find and trust the data they need.
  • Apply FinOps principles: You keep platform costs under control by applying FinOps thinking: right-sizing compute, monitoring spend and flagging opportunities to optimise. You ensure the platform remains efficient as it scales.
  • Prepare the platform for advanced analytics: You help ready the environment for anomaly detection, operational insights and future data science use cases.
  • Continuously evaluate tools and approaches: You stay curious, challenge existing methods and bring forward improvements as the platform matures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * You have solid experience with Azure Databricks, ideally complemented by Synapse or Fabric.

  • You know how to design layered architectures and model data for analysts and business users.
  • You work confidently with dbt or similar frameworks and write clean SQL; Python is a plus.
  • You understand ERP data structures: ideally Dynamics 365 F&O and how operational data flows into analytics platforms.
  • You know the essentials of governance: cataloguing, lineage, access control and why they matter.
  • You work with Git/Bitbucket and Terraform as part of a structured, repeatable workflow.
  • You communicate clearly and bridge the gap between technical detail and business needs.
  • You take ownership, work autonomously and feel comfortable building something new without a detailed playbook.
  • Experience in manufacturing or food is a plus, not a requirement.
  • You are professionally fluent in English and Dutch; French is a plus.
