Data Engineer

2-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. Enjoy working with colleagues from different backgrounds and like collaborating face-to-face just as much as through a screen. Experience with cost/performance optimization of data solutions. Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform), design and support streaming data solutions using Pyspark Streaming or Kafka, DBT, or the commodity trading industry is considered a plus. A strong knowledge of Python, SQL, Apache Spark/Hadoop, DevOps and Scrum methodologies Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. Experience in applying CI: CD principles for efficient deployment pipelines. Are eligible to work in the Netherlands and comfortable working in English in an international environment. Our offer

As a Data Engineer you: Design, build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Data Factory and Function Apps. Deliver reliable data solutions that support business domains such as trading, finance, supply chain and risk management. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical, future-proof data solutions. Ensure high standards for data governance frameworks, including access controls, data lineage and regulatory compliance. Continuously improve our data platform by identifying optimization opportunities, exploring new technologies and balancing innovation with a pragmatic mindset. Develop solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
