Job description
- Install, configure, administer, and support Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments. Manage Oracle Cloud@Customer infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and database services. Perform system provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management. Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, security, and Oracle support teams.
- Administer Oracle databases across development, QA, staging, and production environments. Configure and manage Oracle RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN backup and recovery, and Oracle GoldenGate (preferred). Monitor database health, performance, storage utilization, and availability. Troubleshoot complex database, cluster, and infrastructure issues.
- Lead Oracle database migration projects from on-premises environments to Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) and Oracle Cloud@Customer platforms. Perform data migration, platform migration, database consolidation, cross-version upgrades, and minimal-downtime migration strategies. Validate post-migration performance and stability.
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture using Oracle Data Guard and related technologies. Set up and validate DR sites for Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer and Oracle Cloud@Customer environments. Conduct DR drills, failover/failback testing, and business continuity exercises. Ensure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) compliance with RTO/RPO objectives.
- Provide guidance and consultation to IT management and technical staff regarding the use of emerging technologies and Oracle database solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
- Minimum 3 years of Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Oracle Cloud@Customer infrastructure experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Oracle RAC experience.
- Minimum 3 years of RMAN backup and recovery experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Oracle Enterprise Manager experience.
- Proven experience setting up and managing Disaster Recovery (DR) sites.
- Strong experience providing guidance and consultation with IT management and technical staff regarding emerging technologies.
- Strong Oracle database administration experience.
- Experience with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with Oracle Database 19c, 21Ai, and 26Ai.
- Experience with Exadata X10 and X11 platforms., * Bachelor//’s degree from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent technical study.
