Job description

GeekSI is looking for a Senior EDI Developer. The responsibilities will include the following:

  • Lead architecture initiatives, including the design of EDI/interface solutions, extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, and data warehouse architectures, by analyzing business needs and resolving routine issues.
  • Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction;
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions for software integration projects and coordinate applications across functions or between organizations.
  • Ensure the integration of projects meet the requirements of the organization.
  • Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members, as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. (Or equivalent work experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in programming and working with X12 EDI transaction sets including 837P, 837I, 837D, 835, 834, 999, 277CA, 270/271, 276/277, and SNIP validation rules
  • 10+ years of combined hands-on experience with EDIFECs including: Spec Builder, Transaction Manager (TM), XEServer, xes-manager
  • Experience building profiles, routes, and trading partner relationships
  • Experience connecting to endpoints such as HTTP/S, SFTP, file systems, databases, and queues
  • Strong troubleshooting experience
  • Solid communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Functional knowledge of healthcare transactions and workflows
  • Experience with scripting (Groovy, Java, or similar)
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with automated testing tools
