Job description
GeekSI is looking for a Senior EDI Developer. The responsibilities will include the following:
- Lead architecture initiatives, including the design of EDI/interface solutions, extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, and data warehouse architectures, by analyzing business needs and resolving routine issues.
- Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction;
- Design, develop, and implement solutions for software integration projects and coordinate applications across functions or between organizations.
- Ensure the integration of projects meet the requirements of the organization.

- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members, as needed.

- Must have a minimum of a Bachelorās Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. (Or equivalent work experience)
- 10+ years of experience in programming and working with X12 EDI transaction sets including 837P, 837I, 837D, 835, 834, 999, 277CA, 270/271, 276/277, and SNIP validation rules
- 10+ years of combined hands-on experience with EDIFECs including: Spec Builder, Transaction Manager (TM), XEServer, xes-manager
- Experience building profiles, routes, and trading partner relationships
- Experience connecting to endpoints such as HTTP/S, SFTP, file systems, databases, and queues
- Strong troubleshooting experience
- Solid communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Functional knowledge of healthcare transactions and workflows
- Experience with scripting (Groovy, Java, or similar)
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, etc.)
- Experience with automated testing tools
