Job description

  • Design, develop, build, and test advanced micro-turbine and turbo-generator systems.
  • Perform mechanical design and analysis of both static and rotating components using metallic and composite materials across hot and cold engine sections.
  • Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter while following ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
  • Perform and review advanced engineering analyses, including:
  • Structural (elastic and elastic-plastic)
  • Thermal
  • Rotor dynamics
  • Blade and vane dynamics
  • Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, cost reduction, and reliability.
  • Lead customer-funded and internal development programs from proposal through production.
  • Manage component and subsystem development throughout the entire product lifecycle, including PLM, testing, verification, and production support.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to achieve technical and program milestones.
  • Assist with project planning, prioritization, resource allocation, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions for complex design challenges.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in turbomachinery or rotating equipment and enjoy owning projects from proposal and design through testing, qualification, and manufacturing support., * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in turbomachinery, rotating equipment, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, ANSYS, and mechanical design of rotating machinery is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), FEA, thermal analysis, and product development processes.
