Job description

The Microsoft 365 Systems Engineer will be responsible for deploying, managing, and securing Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID. This role will play a key part in client migrations, security hardening, and automation using Microsoft 365 tools. The ideal candidate has experience with Microsoft cloud technologies, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This role will involve working across multiple client environments, designing standardized Microsoft 365 solutions while maintaining security and operational excellence., * Deploy and Manage Microsoft 365 Services: Configure and maintain Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 security settings.

  • Client Migrations: Perform email, data, and domain migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Microsoft 365.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, MFA, DLP, and compliance policies to protect client environments.
  • Automation & Scripting: Use PowerShell and Microsoft Power Automate to streamline administration and workflows.
  • Projects: Work with Project Team to help lead Microsoft 365 implementations and modernization projects from planning through deployment.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for Microsoft 365-related issues, working with clients and internal teams.
  • Microsoft Entra ID, Identity & Access Management: Configure SSO, Conditional Access, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Teams & VoIP Integrations: Configure and support Microsoft Teams for calling, meetings, and integrations with VoIP solutions.
  • Training & Documentation: Provide technical documentation and occasional end-user training on Microsoft 365 features.

Requirements

  • Required:
  • 3 years of experience administering Microsoft 365 services.
  • Strong expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with security tools such as Microsoft Defender, DLP, and MFA.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft 365 certifications (i.e. MS-102, MS-900, AZ-104, MD-102).
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune for device management.
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments (on-premises Active Directory + Azure AD).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)., * Microsoft 365: 2 years (Required)
  • Microsoft Exchange: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Intune: 1 year (Required)
  • Microsoft SharePoint: 1 year (Preferred)
