Job description
We are seeking a talented Microsoft 365 Engineer II to join our growing team and support a diverse client base throughout the DMV region. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting Microsoft 365 environments, including Microsoft Teams, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Entra ID.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor responsible for both proactive project work and day-to-day operational support. This position combines remote administration with onsite client engagements and requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 environments for multiple clients.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID, user lifecycle management, and identity security.
- Configure and support Microsoft Teams, including voice, collaboration, meeting policies, and integrations.
- Deploy, manage, and secure endpoints using Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender security solutions, including endpoint protection, threat detection, and security policies.
- Administer Exchange Online, mail flow, anti-spam protection, transport rules, and mailbox management.
- Implement Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Zero Trust security controls.
- Perform Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, onboarding, and optimization projects.
- Troubleshoot complex Microsoft 365, identity, email, security, and endpoint management issues.
- Conduct onsite client visits for deployments, assessments, training, and technical support.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor Microsoft 365 environments and recommend improvements for security, compliance, and performance.
- Collaborate with networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams on client projects.

Requirements
- U.S. Citizen.
- 4-8 years of Microsoft 365 administration and engineering experience.
- Strong experience with:

- Experience with:

- Microsoft 365 Licensing
- Experience administering Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 endpoints.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft security best practices and Zero Trust principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex identity, authentication, email, and endpoint issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and client-facing skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Business or Defender XDR
- Experience with Azure infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop
- Experience with PowerShell automation and scripting
- Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
- Familiarity with NIST, CMMC, HIPAA, or other compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting government contractors, healthcare organizations, or regulated environments, The ideal candidate is a customer-focused Microsoft 365 professional who can confidently lead a tenant migration, secure an Entra ID environment, deploy Intune and Autopilot, troubleshoot Teams and Exchange issues, and guide clients through Microsoft cloud best practices. They enjoy working directly with customers, solving complex technical challenges, and helping organizations maximize their Microsoft 365 investments.
