Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Security Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems across various client sites. This role is vital in ensuring the integrity and reliability of security infrastructure, including surveillance, alarm, access control, and low voltage systems. As a leader in the field, you will coordinate technical support efforts, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with project managers to deliver top-tier security solutions. Your expertise will help safeguard assets and ensure compliance with safety standards while providing exceptional service to clients., * Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of security systems such as CCTV, sensors, alarm & access control systems, and fire alarm devices.

  • Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install and service low voltage wiring and cabling.
  • Conduct system design assessments to recommend optimal security solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform precise equipment mounting, wiring, and repairs in construction or retrofit environments.
  • Diagnose complex issues related to computer networking, telecommunication systems, and electrical components; provide technical troubleshooting support.
  • Manage remote access software to configure and monitor security systems remotely; ensure system integrity and security.
  • Train and mentor field service technicians on equipment troubleshooting, system upgrades, and safety protocols while maintaining high standards of quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a service technician specializing in security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV surveillance, sensors, fire alarms, and low voltage electrical work.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience including reading schematics and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with cabling (including NEC standards), power tools, hand tools, and construction environments.
  • Familiarity with system design principles for security infrastructure; knowledge of telecommunication wiring and remote access software.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues involving computer hardware, networking components, sensors, and surveillance devices.
  • Prior experience in construction or renovation projects involving electrical blueprint reading is highly desirable.
  • Service technician background with excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments; ability to interpret schematics accurately.
