Job description
We are seeking a dynamic Lead Security Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems. This role is vital in ensuring our clients’ security infrastructure operates flawlessly. As a leader on our team, you will guide field service activities, manage technical support efforts, and ensure high-quality service delivery across complex low-voltage electrical security systems., * Lead installation and configuration of electrical security systems including alarm & access control systems, CCTV, sensors, and fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair security equipment such as CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and low-voltage wiring.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for system design and installation projects.
- Cloud Video and Access Control a must!
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for physical security systems and remote access software.
- Supervise field service activities ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on system installation techniques, troubleshooting procedures, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Extensive mechanical knowledge related to security hardware installation and maintenance.
- Proven field service experience with electrical security system installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, telecommunication systems, and low-voltage electrical wiring.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with alarm & access control systems, CCTV surveillance, sensors, fire alarms, and door security system integration.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, cabling techniques, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Knowledge of system design principles for physical security infrastructure including surveillance and alarm systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Construction experience is a plus; familiarity with schematics interpretation is essential.
- Valid experience in electrical experience or locksmithing is advantageous.
