Job description
Production Operator SMT Lead sets up and operates SMT machines and equipment. Reports to Production Supervisor and is located in Newark, CA. Primary Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall operation of the assigned production line/unit that may include SMT automatic assembly and the following: * Offline feeder setup tear down and component recognition, SMT machine operating and Handload. * Must be able to train new SMT operators and assist SMT operators to learn new skills * Effectively prioritize schedule to accommodate new priorities or to resolve material issues * Setup, read and understand Set-up Sheets, Assembly Instructions, and Assembly Notes.

Execute written/verbal instructions given by supervisor and monitor efficiency and quality of assigned routine tasks: * Read and follow work instructions and visual aids * Check and inspect task results against predetermined standards, * Identify, communicate, and escalate production issues and problems

Perform other duties and tasks related to the Production Operator SMT Lead.
Requirements
- Minimum education requirement is a High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of SMT automatic assembly equipment: Screen Printer (Panasonic NM-EJP1A), SPI (TRI7007), Pick & Place (Panasonic NM-EJM8A), Reflow Oven (Vitronics XPM3i)
- Basic to Mid-Level knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Basic to Mid-Level knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (Employee Self-Service Portal), preferred.
- Basic knowledge with IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (certified preferred).
- Minimum 3-year work experience in a manufacturing production environment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
- Ability to stand in an eight-hour work shift with mandatory rest and lunch breaks
