Job description

An SMT specialistoperates, maintains, and troubleshoots Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly equipment to produce electronic circuit boards with precision.Key responsibilities include setting up SMT machines like pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and screen printers, performing quality inspections, and resolving defects.This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, knowledge of electronics, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to ensure efficient and high-quality production., * Responsible for developing and maintaining programs for Fuji Equipment, operation and maintenance of automated equipment used to assemble electronic PC boards.

  • Performs programming of various types of equipment such as automated placement Fuji (NXT, AIMEX), wave solder, screen printers, AOI,re-flowovens, and those used in product assembly.
  • Performs in-process quality inspections and use tolls like Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) to identify and address defects in components and assembled circuit boards.
  • Develops and maintains other SMT related processes, writes profiles and monitors equipment lines to ensure proper program performance, process efficiency, and ongoing quality.
  • Works with production, engineering and machine operators to improve production processes, resolve defects and maintain equipment and to ensure efficient operation of work centers to meet production schedules.
  • Performs customer specified modifications to programs (ECOs).
  • Troubleshoots process / equipment problems and fault corrections.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4-6 years of experience supporting SMT Programming team
  • Experience with SW (Fujicam, Factory Logix, Nexim) experience a plus
  • Understanding of the Production environment
  • Ability to work under deadlines (Programs, ECO)
  • Detail-oriented, fast learner
  • Able to read drawings and other written documents
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Good organization and documentation skills
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience
