What You’ll Do:
- Perform daily monitoring and management of the backup environment.
- Create and update documentation for backup environments.
- Design a data recovery and backup system.
- Perform Maintenance on existing database backup systems.
- Monitor activity to make sure all necessary information is stored securely.
- Perform patching and backups on multiple environments Assist in setting up servers for migration of old backup solution
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science with knowledge of all types of computer and communication equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without supervision.
Computer Skills
- Strong knowledge of various types of computer equipment and software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Oracle certification is preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
