Job description
Coordinate, design, and secure large-scale computer databases for critical business information.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance and potentially leading professional staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate monitoring and troubleshoot performance issues across hybrid, multi-cloud, and microservices architectures.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions (primarily using Dynatrace) for infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to ensure system reliability and visibility.
- Monitor and support Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Monitor databases, middleware, and network components in collaboration with infrastructure and cloud teams.
- Proactively identify trends, capacity needs, and resolve issues before they impact production.
- Work with application teams to provide comprehensive monitoring, including synthetic and real user monitoring.
- Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for performance and availability incidents.
- Enhance monitoring standards, documentation, and recommend improvements to configurations and alerts.
- Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles, with hands-on Dynatrace/APM experience.
- Technical skills in Windows/Linux, virtual environments, cloud platforms, networking, and scripting/automation (PowerShell/Bash preferred).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes/container monitoring and ITIL practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills; detail-oriented and proactive mindset.
