Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Program Manager with a strong background in Cybersecurity and Network Security to lead enterprise security initiatives for a large organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing firewall, network security, and cyber incident response projects while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity and network security projects.
  • Manage firewall migration, network segmentation, Zero Trust, and SD-WAN initiatives.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity incident response and threat intelligence projects.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and executive status reports.
  • Work closely with security, infrastructure, business, and vendor teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate governance meetings and communicate project progress to leadership., * Hybrid work schedule (1 week onsite, 1 week remote).
  • Local Atlanta candidates are strongly preferred.

  • Infrastructure Project Managers without cybersecurity experience.
  • Software Project Managers.
  • Scrum Masters without technical project management experience.
  • Security Engineers without project/program management experience.
  • Generic IT Project Managers lacking firewall and cybersecurity project experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT Project/Program Management experience.
  • 8+ years managing Cybersecurity or Network Security projects.
  • Experience leading firewall migration or network security infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, Check Point)
  • Network Security
  • Firewall Migration
  • Zero Trust
  • Network Segmentation
  • SD-WAN
  • Incident Response
  • SOC Operations
  • Threat Intelligence
  • SIEM/SOAR tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, XSOAR, or Phantom
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security projects.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, Security+, GIAC, or CCNP Security.
  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS, SOX, NIST 800-53, FAA, and TSA cybersecurity standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage executive-level reporting and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk management, and project execution abilities.
