IT Field Technician - Angleton, TX (Brazosport Area)

We’re hiring a Field & Frontline Technician to be our on-the-ground presence in the Brazosport area, based out of our Angleton office - which also happens to be our company headquarters.

This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role: part office operations, part field technician, part backup support for one of our key onsite clients in Freeport. You’ll be the person Brazosport-area clients see in person, and the person who keeps our Angleton office running day to day.

What You’ll Do

• Provide remote and onsite technical support and field visits for clients throughout the Brazosport area and occasionally the Houston area.

• Serve as backup onsite coverage for our Freeport client (Monday-Tuesday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m.) when the primary technician is out sick or on PTO.

• Troubleshoot everyday IT issues: Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, basic networking (DNS/DHCP/VPN), and end-user hardware/software.

• Monitor system health through our RMM tools, and handle patching and endpoint security updates as assigned.

• Document every site visit, ticket, and client environment change consistently - this is not optional.

• Escalate issues beyond your scope cleanly, following our escalation standards.

• Coordinate your own schedule across Brazosport-area client sites, balancing office presence with field visits.

• Cross-train with our Freeport technician so you can cover for each other.

• Attend scheduled team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.

• Receive packages and retrieve mail at our Angleton office daily; prepare and ship a weekly mail packet to company leadership.

• 3+ years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally MSP and client-facing.

• Comfortable being the only person in the office some days - self-directed, reliable, low-drama.

• A reliable vehicle and genuine comfort with regular local driving across the Brazosport area and occasionally the Houston area.

• CompTIA A+ required; Network+ a plus., * Do you currently live within 35 miles of Angleton, TX (including Pearland, Manvel, Alvin, Lake Jackson, Freeport, Clute, or Brazoria)?
• Do you have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for daily local travel between the office and client sites?
• • Do you have at least 3 years of hands-on IT support experience?
• This role occasionally requires covering onsite client support starting as early as 7:00 a.m. on short notice - are you able to commit to that when needed?
• Do you hold a CompTIA A+ certification?
