Job description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Administrator to support enterprise collaboration, information governance, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 administration, and enterprise content governance. This position requires a professional who can collaborate across IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, and Records Management teams to administer collaboration platforms, implement governance policies, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure secure management of organizational information assets., We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Administrator to support enterprise collaboration, information governance, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 administration, and enterprise content governance.

This position requires a professional who can collaborate across IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, and Records Management teams to administer collaboration platforms, implement governance policies, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure secure management of organizational information assets., * Administer, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online environments.

  • Manage and support Microsoft Purview information governance and compliance solutions.
  • Implement and maintain content governance, data lifecycle management, and security policies.
  • Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Legal, Records Management, and business stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Develop operational procedures, system documentation, and technical standards.
  • Participate in enterprise technology projects as a technical lead or project team member.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Support Microsoft 365 collaboration services while ensuring platform security, availability, and performance.
  • Assist with planning, implementing, and supporting enterprise collaboration solutions and governance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience in systems administration, collaboration platforms, information governance, or security/compliance technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working across multiple IT and business functions, including Security, Compliance, Legal, and Records Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing procedures for monitoring, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving complex system issues.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Experience working on multiple projects as a project team member, technical lead, and mentor to junior technical staff.
  • Hands-on experience administering, configuring, securing, and governing SharePoint Online.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Purview information governance and compliance capabilities., * Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features.
  • Experience implementing enterprise governance policies.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Microsoft Purview are highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or government environments is a plus.
