Job description

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Entra ID & SharePoint Migration Engineer to lead identity integration, Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation, and SharePoint-to-WordPress migration activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SharePoint, hybrid identity environments, and enterprise authentication technologies., * Assess existing Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SharePoint, and identity management environments.

  • Review users, organizational units, security groups, permissions, access structures, and hybrid identity configurations.
  • Design and implement Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory Single Sign-On (SSO) for a WordPress-based employee intranet.
  • Configure group-based permissions, role-based access controls, user synchronization, and employee directory search functionality.
  • Review Azure AD Connect/Microsoft Entra Connect configurations and support hybrid identity integration.
  • Collaborate with WordPress developers and technical leads to integrate Microsoft identity services.
  • Develop SharePoint content inventories and phased migration strategies.
  • Identify, organize, and migrate approved SharePoint content to WordPress.
  • Preserve metadata, document ownership, permissions, and organizational structure throughout migration.
  • Apply appropriate Active Directory and Entra ID security permissions to migrated content.
  • Maintain migration logs, issue tracking, validation reports, and technical documentation.
  • Test authentication, SSO, permissions, user synchronization, directory search, and content accessibility.
  • Support functional testing, UAT, production deployment, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
  • Ensure secure access for authorized users through Microsoft Entra ID authentication.
  • Provide administrator training on identity management, security groups, permissions, and access controls.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs), configuration documentation, and administrator guides.
  • Provide post-go-live support for authentication, synchronization, and migration-related issues.
  • Support ongoing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SharePoint, and identity management maintenance activities.

Pay: $101,257.07 - $121,944.00 per year

Requirements

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Microsoft certifications in one or more of the following:
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Azure Administrator
  • Identity & Access Administrator
  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Security

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and SharePoint environments.
  • Experience designing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Single Sign-On (SSO) using Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience integrating Microsoft Entra ID or Active Directory authentication with WordPress, intranet platforms, enterprise portals, or similar web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of authentication protocols including:
  • SAML 2.0
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect
  • Microsoft Graph API
  • Experience managing Active Directory users, organizational units (OUs), security groups, permissions, and access controls.
  • Experience implementing:
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Group-based permissions
  • User profile synchronization
  • Employee directory/people search functionality
  • Experience working with Azure AD Connect or Microsoft Entra Connect in hybrid identity environments.
  • Experience planning and executing SharePoint-to-WordPress content migrations.

  • Experience performing authentication, SSO, synchronization, permission, and post-migration testing.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployment, cutover, go-live, and post-production support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to authentication, synchronization, permissions, and migrated content.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, administrator guides, and configuration documentation.
  • Ability to work in Agile environments with aggressive project timelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with project managers, developers, IT teams, content owners, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Microsoft identity and SharePoint migration projects within government, healthcare, public health, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience with enterprise intranet platforms supporting multiple departments or business units.
  • Experience migrating SharePoint content specifically to WordPress.
  • Experience integrating WordPress with Microsoft Entra ID using SSO plugins, SAML, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 document libraries, employee directories, organizational charts, room scheduling, forms, and internal communication tools.
  • Experience implementing Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), least-privilege access, and security controls.
  • Experience delivering migration and identity integration projects under tight implementation schedules.
