Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA

• Lead and execute SQL Server migrations from SQL 2016 to SQL 2022 across multiple business-critical applications.
• Provide administrative support for BAU operations, including environments supporting DMTEA and GIS.
• Own performance tuning and troubleshooting using tools such as Query Store and AlwaysOn technologies for large, high-tier environments.
• Manage multiple moderately complex projects and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams.
• Implement proactive stability maintenance, monitoring, and incident response, including on-call and after-hours support.
• Contribute to database design, development, and implementation using modern SQL Server features and best practices.
• Mentor teammates through cross-training on multiple systems and provide work leadership as needed.

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft SQL Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, migration, and high availability and a proven ability to deliver stable, high-performing database platforms in high-volume, high-pressure environments., * Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, including high availability, backup/restore, security, and capacity planning.

• Proficiency with performance tuning, Query Store usage, and AlwaysOn configuration and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SQL automation for migration and maintenance activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer interaction skills in high-volume production environments.
• Linux familiarity for SQL-related operations and tooling.
• Experience leading or coordinating multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
• 10+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration.

Preferred Skills:

• Monitoring and observability with Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Experience with additional data platforms such as Redis, TigerGraph, CockroachDB, or other RDBMS.
• Prior experience in banking or financial services environments.

• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
• On-call rotation and after-hours work as needed.
