AI Engineer

We are looking for a remote AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-ready AI capabilities within our software ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between data science and software engineering, leveraging cutting-edge Generative AI models alongside the Microsoft Technology Stack.

As a remote team member, you will have a high degree of autonomy but will collaborate closely with product managers and backend engineers via Microsoft Teams and Azure DevOps to bring intelligent features to life., * AI Integration: Design and implement AI/ML features using Azure OpenAI, semantic search, and custom large language model (LLM) orchestrations.

• Backend Engineering: Develop and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using C# and .NET Core.
• Data & Orchestration: Build orchestration layers using frameworks like Semantic Kernel or LangChain to connect AI models with enterprise data stored in Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, or Azure AI Search.
• CI/CD & Cloud Ops: Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI workloads on Azure using Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency.
• Security & Compliance: Implement responsible AI practices, ensuring data privacy, prompt security (preventing injection), and compliance within the Azure framework., * Experience fine-tuning open-source models or working with local LLMs.
• Microsoft Certifications such as Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) or Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100).
• Experience building custom plugins for Microsoft Copilot.

Required Skills & Qualifications: AI & Machine Learning

• Proven experience working with Generative AI APIs (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• Deep understanding of Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, and vector databases.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (highly prefer Microsoft Semantic Kernel or LangChain).

Microsoft Technology Stack

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core (.NET 8+ preferred) for backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services, specifically Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, Azure Functions, and App Services.
• Familiarity with Azure data solutions (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
• Experience with Azure DevOps for Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.

$50 - $55 an hour - Full-time
