Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend services and APIs for platform and payment processing systems.
  • Implement secure and scalable solutions for transaction processing, payment gateways, and service orchestration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Identify internal and external dependencies.
  • Lead and strategize deployments of applications.
  • Integrate with third-party payment providers, banking APIs, and internal microservices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging are in place.
  • Maintain version control and branching strategies using Git.
  • Collaborate with offshore team members regularly.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, Grafana).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Java development, preferably in fintech, payments, or platform services.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with payment gateways, transaction processing, or digital wallets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Kafka) and API security (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and monitor server performance., * Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for building high-quality software.

Qualification And Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
