Job description
You will support our data engineering and analytics delivery, with a primary focus on maintaining, enhancing and building the processes feeding our client’s Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW). This is a learning-oriented role with strong mentorship, ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals., * Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting ELT/integration processes that feed the EDW for our retail clients
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, issue diagnosis, and basic transformations
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing, automation, and support tasks
- Perform basic data quality checks, reconciliation, and analytics
- Support report development and enhancements within Strategy (previously MicroStrategy) & Power BI
- Participate in our rotating support/on-call rota (with full senior guidance)
- Collaborate with senior engineers and document processes
Requirements
- Strong foundation in SQL (querying, joins, aggregations, analytical functions)
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scripting and automation)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field
- Eagerness to learn, strong problem-solving attitude and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with occasional out-of-hours support as part of a rota
Nice-to-Have
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Exposure to BI platforms like Strategy & Power BI
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Git, or monitoring tools
- Experience with retail or transactional data
- Interest in AI tools for data engineering and analytics
