Job description

Are you a tech-savvy foodie with a passion for great food, sustainability, and healthy eating? Do you thrive in a dynamic startup environment? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Join SCHRANKERL, Austria’s most innovative B2B food solution. We provide daily fresh and healthy food to employees of 100+ companies in Vienna, Linz, Salzburg and Graz through our cutting-edge smart IoT fridges. Our data-driven approach allows us to anticipate our clients’ preferences, eliminating the need for pre-orders. With just a visit to our smart fridge, employees can find their favorite products hassle-free.

We are currently in the process of automating our internal processes, starting with our smart ordering and menu prediction system and ee’re seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our team and help us drive this exciting transformation.

Tasks

As a full-stack developer at SCHRANKERL, you’ll play a pivotal role in the software development of our core system. Your main tasks will involve:

  • Creating a modern software system to streamline operations, optimize services, and enhance meal planning.
  • Collaborating with a small, dynamic team spread across Vienna and Linz, where every voice is valued, and ideas are heard.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a software developer.
  • A diverse portfolio of technical skills.
  • Proficiency in Python (required).
  • Angular or data science frameworks (not required but a plus)
  • Typescript, Java, Rust or R (not required but a plus)
  • Experience with Odoo (not required but a plus).
  • Understanding of (or interest in) machine learning techniques for predictive modeling.
  • Experience building APIs and working with complex data-driven systems
  • Well-structured and analytical thinking.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience.
  • Fluent English skills (German is a plus).
  • The motivation to take ownership of projects from conception to release.
  • Energy, team spirit, and a creative mindset to continually improve our processes.

Benefits & conditions

  • The opportunity to work and grow in an inspiring and fast-growing startup.
  • Direct collaboration with our founders, learning from their expertise.
  • A small team and a flat organizational structure where your voice and ideas truly matter.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of home-office and part-time/flex-time options (e.g., 25-30 hours per week).
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • 24/7 access to delicious free food from our own Schrankerl when you’re at the office.
