Job description

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a GIS Specialist (Production) to join our team on an upcoming Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation CGB-400 GIS Technical Service Support contract. The GIS Production Specialist serves as the lead production coordinator responsible for quality control, enterprise database maintenance, GIS production workflows, and delivery of maps, databases, and analytical products supporting Bureau of Reclamation programs.

This position is onsite in Sacramento, CA.

· Coordinates with hardware or software vendors to ensure problem free hardware/software environment.

· Implements quality control procedures.

· Oversees all procedures performed by associate specialists and data technicians.

· Monitor and ensure proper data backups.

· Approve and release final product databases, maps and reports when appropriate and as delegated by the Service Center Manager.

· Assists Service Center Manager and Assistant Manager in preparing and implementing user and project setup, accounting, and security.

· Performs mapping and database management functions on a variety of Reclamation projects.

· Creates schemas and workflow procedures for the enterprise operation.

· Manages various data collection technologies.

Requirements

BA/BS in Geography, Natural Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Sciences. (NOTE: Comparable work experience is acceptable)

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible GIS experience, including at least 3+ years of Python, Arcade, and/or Modelbuilder.

· Successful completion of any combination of the following ESRI training courses within the last two (2) years may be substituted for some of the following experience and/or time requirements:

a. Current ArcGIS Pro.

b. Building Geodatabases or like coursework.

c. Cartographic production.

d. ESRI 3D Creation/Analysis or Visualization coursework.

e. Modernizing field workflows using Fields for ArcGIS.

f. Demonstrated working knowledge of ArcGIS software suite to include ArcPro and Spatial Analyst.

g. Demonstrated geography, mapping, and cartography skills.

h. Experience with ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE configuration is desired.

i. ArcGIS Online administration.
