Production GIS Specialist

GeoAcuity is seeking a GIS Specialist (Production) to coordinate hardware/software quality control, manage data collection technologies, and oversee GIS production workflows in support of Reclamation water resource and environmental management missions., Coordinate with hardware and software vendors to ensure a problem-free GIS environment; implement and oversee quality control procedures for all GIS production output; oversee procedures performed by associate specialists and data technicians; monitor and ensure proper data backups are maintained; approve and release final product databases, maps, and reports as delegated by the Service Center Manager; assist in preparing and implementing user/project setup, accounting, and security; perform mapping and database management functions across a variety of Reclamation projects; create schemas and workflow procedures for enterprise GIS operations; and manage various data collection technologies while working independently and within an interdisciplinary GIS team.

BA/BS in Geography, Natural Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science (comparable experience accepted); 3+ years of Python, Arcade, and/or ModelBuilder experience; demonstrated working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst; experience with ArcGIS Online administration; demonstrated geography, mapping, and cartography skills; and must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to pass a federal background check prior to start date., Relevant Esri training within the past 2 years: ArcGIS Pro, Building Geodatabases, Cartographic Production, ESRI 3D Creation/Analysis, or Modernizing Field Workflows using FieldMaps; experience with ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE configuration; and familiarity with Reclamation or federal natural resource GIS data standards.
