Requirements

  • Ability to program in at least one general-purpose language such as Java, Python, or C++\n
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly, and a genuine interest in doing so.\n
  • Able to collaborate with others while handling independent tasking.\n

  • Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.\n

nJob Summary\n: Your code will go to sea.As a Software Engineer at SEACORP, you will help design, build, and test thesoftware and data systems behind the Submarine Warfare Federated TacticalSystems (SWFTS) program: the integrated combat system used across the U.S. Navysubmarine fleet. You will join a multidisciplinary team of SEACORP andgovernment engineers who develop the services that move, store, and deliverdata for some of the most advanced platforms in the world.\n \n Job Responsibilities:\n \n \n

  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions in languages such as Java, Python, and C++.\n
  • Develop databases, middleware, APIs, and prototypes in support of Navy data systems.\n
  • Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.\n
  • Participate in an Agile team, consisting of daily scrums, two-week sprints, quarterly program increments, demonstrations, and retrospectives.\n
  • Use professional engineering tools, including Git, Linux, and the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, etc).\n
  • Learn modern data, cloud, and AI-assisted development technologies on the job, with guidance from the team that runs them.\n, nWork Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings.
