Senior Software Engineer (C#/Java) - Remote

We are seeking Senior Software Engineers (C# or Java) to support the modernization and sustainment of a mission-critical command-and-control system supporting mobility operations across the Air Force. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in Agile environments, enjoy working across the full stack, and want to contribute to secure, scalable cloud-based systems supporting national security missions.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using C#/.NET or Java Support modernization efforts, including migration to AWS GovCloud environments Contribute to front-end (React) and/or backend services depending on experience Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning and code reviews Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestComplete Analyze system requirements and support task prioritization Conduct code reviews and refactor existing codebases Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth Ensure security and compliance through code analysis and automated scanning tools

Active Secret Security Clearance Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or additional years of experience in lieu of degree) Experience with C#/.NET and/or Java development Experience with React.js or modern frontend frameworks Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments Experience with containerization technologies (Docker preferred) Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases Experience working in Agile development environments Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, Full-stack development experience (frontend + backend) Experience working with containerized applications Familiarity with test automation frameworks Prior experience supporting DoD or federal government programs

Experience Levels We are hiring across multiple levels:

Software Engineer I: 3+ years experience (or 6+ without degree)

Software Engineer II: 6+ years experience (or 8+ without degree)

Software Engineer III (Senior): 8+ years experience (or 10+ without degree)
