Senior Software Engineer (Java/AWS) 100% Remote | 6-Week Project

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level developer with strong Java, AWS, and API development experience who enjoys working in an Agile environment and supporting mission-critical systems used by active-duty military personnel and civilian government users., As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions while helping guide technical direction across the development team., Design, develop, test, document, and deploy software solutions

• Build and maintain cloud-native applications within AWS environments
• Develop and integrate containerized APIs and services
• Participate in architecture, design, and planning discussions
• Review, refactor, and improve existing codebases
• Support and mentor junior developers
• Analyze system requirements and help prioritize development efforts
• Write clean, scalable, secure, and maintainable Java and C# code
• Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Evaluate and implement automated testing solutions
• Leverage tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and TestComplete for test automation
• Utilize code analysis and automated security scanning tools
• Improve development processes through automation and cloud-native best practices

DoD/Federal Experience Preferred, Active Secret Security Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 8+ years of experience OR 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

• Strong hands-on experience developing applications with Java
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native engineering principles
• Experience building and integrating containerized APIs and microservices
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and software lifecycle management skills, Experience with C#
• Experience with React.js
• Experience supporting migrations to AWS GovCloud or similar cloud environments
• Automated testing experience using:
• Selenium
• Cypress
• SmartBear TestComplete
• Prior Department of Defense (DoD) or federal government program experience
