Job description
Blu Omega is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a federal program focused on border security and surveillance operations. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for supporting mission-critical systems related to border protection and national security. The position requires experience supporting systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, and systems integration within a mission-driven environment., * Evaluate and analyze C4I communications capability, infrastructure, and interoperability
- Assess installation and functionality of C4I sensors, radar, and data inputs
- Review network cabling, infrastructure, and bandwidth to ensure compliance with standards and operational efficiency
- Support system, network, and communication configurations, including wired and data flow diagrams, We partner with government agencies and large systems integrators to provide expertise in cybersecurity operations, cloud and infrastructure modernization, data and analytics, and enterprise IT support. Our teams are experienced operating within federal contracting environments, supporting task orders, recompetes, and programs requiring cleared personnel and compliant delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems, network, or cybersecurity engineering supporting mission-critical environments
- \Experience evaluating C4I communications and sensor systems
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, bandwidth analysis, and system verification, * Experience with satellite communications, enterprise architecture, and complex sensor integrations
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as STIG hardening, NIST RMF, and secure system design
- Prior work supporting DHS or federal border security operations
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $138,000 - $151,000 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
