Job description

  • The role is primarily a project/delivery manager position with minimal PMO reporting, focusing on project execution, supplier management, managing allocated funds, reporting on spending, and project deployment.
  • The new role will support IT PM from a PMO perspective, focusing on reporting (predominantly finance) for 30% of the time.
  • The remaining 70% will involve organizing the portfolio and working on other projects.
  • The role involves managing IT applications across various areas (office suites, manufacturing systems, corporate applications).
  • Mandate to improve efficiency in licensing and deployment.
  • Candidates need technical expertise and experience in solution/engineering environments.

Requirements

My global manufacturing client is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with strong PMO skills to join their team on a 6 month FTC basis (This may be extended to perm)

This role requires someone who can confidently operate at both a strategic and operational level. Someone who understands the ā€œbig pictureā€ of programme delivery while maintaining a sharp focus on detail. You will be a strong multitasker with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate across project teams, suppliers, and senior leadership.

Essential Skills

  • Mid Level IT projet manager with programme delivery experience
  • Expert knowledge on data analysis - particularly using Power BI and ideally Planview (but this is also not mandatory)
  • Experience of working across multiple projects and portfolios
  • Sector experience from industries with strong project management rigor, such as banks,
  • manufacturers, utility companies.
  • Experience with platforms like health and safety, manufacturing, SAP/ERP, network infrastructure
  • deployment, and Microsoft suite deployments
  • Less emphasis on software engineering experience.
  • Strong PMO experience
  • Required tools include BI, Planview, and good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Comfort with creating delivery plans in Excel is expected.
  • Must have a strong understanding of dependencies in IT Project Lifecycles
  • Candidates need technical expertise and experience in solution/engineering environments.
