Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Build and maintain data models, datasets, and semantic layers to support enterprise reporting needs.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects within Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Create and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other Microsoft data integration tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard, report, data refresh, and performance issues.
  • Monitor data quality and validate the accuracy and integrity of reporting outputs.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and implement KPI dashboards and executive-level reporting solutions.
  • Support report deployment, security configuration, and user access management.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements to existing BI solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide end-user training and support for Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Stay current with Microsoft BI technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3-5+ years of experience developing and supporting Microsoft BI solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience building Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and large datasets.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing BI applications and reporting environments.
  • Experience supporting professional services or law firm environments.
  • Experience with financial, HR, payroll, billing, and operational reporting.
  • Microsoft certifications related to Power BI, Azure, or SQL Server.
  • Experience with cloud-based Microsoft data platforms.
