Job description

This position supports the United States Air Force (USAF) Electronic Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) mission by ensuring all systems, applications, and processes comply with Federal, DoD, Air Force (AF), contractual, and technical standards. The Government Program Office is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

The role is responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, and optimization of multiple AWS-based environments supporting ETIMS operations. This position provides senior-level technical expertise to ensure system performance, security compliance, operational stability, and continuous modernization of the platform architecture. The individual will also support architecture implementation efforts and collaborate closely with Government customers and Integrator team members. Occasional on-site support for meetings in the Dayton, Ohio area is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Administer and maintain AWS cloud environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security
  • Support the implementation of existing and new enterprise architecture by duplicating existing production environments for development, test and server backup and overall cloud modernization initiatives
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system, network, and application issues across a multi-cloud infrastructure
  • Builds deployments for AWS/C1 production, development and test zones
  • Ensure compliance with RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity standards
  • Manage system configurations, patching, and updates in accordance with security baselines
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automation efforts, and infrastructure-as-code implementations
  • Collaborate with engineers, and cybersecurity teams to align operations with design and compliance requirements
  • Develop and Maintain documentation, system baselines, and operational procedures
  • Support system accreditation, audits, and continuous monitoring activities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and support staff
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Do you have experience in Information security compliance?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 7+ years of experience in systems administration or cloud administration within DoD or Federal Government environments

  • 5-7 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments
  • Experience with Jenkins, including migrating or converting Jenkins pipelines using Terraform and Ansible
  • Familiarity with GitLab, GitLab Duo, or comparable DevOps platforms
  • Hands-on experience administering AWS cloud environments, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and related services
  • Strong knowledge of RMF, NIST, DISA STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level, mission-critical systems in secure environments
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks
  • Active Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8140 baseline certification) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field required
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator)
  • Experience supporting The Airforce Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate or similar Federal Programs
  • Familiarity with enterprise application stacks (Java, Oracle, Apache, etc.)
  • Experience operating in Agile/Scrum environments

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed remotely and outside of secured government facilities. The ability to meet in person with USG customers is as required and >25% of the overall Hybrid workshare.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and handling paperwork.
  • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
