Job description

Responsible for the implementation, deployment, installation, provisioning, troubleshooting, and oversight for cloud infrastructure and related cloud services. Collaborates with cross functional teams for the deployment and ongoing support of cloud services to both internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Assist in deploying, managing, and monitoring AWS services, including EC2, EKS, ECR, S3, VPC, NACLs, Security Groups, CloudTrail, and related services.
  • Configure and optimize AWS resources for performance, availability, and security.
  • Support cloud security and access management using AWS security best practices.
  • Assist with containerized application deployments using Docker/Kubernetes and AWS services.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement cloud solutions.
  • Provides knowledge in design, architecture, development and administration.
  • Monitor existing systems for structural integrity.
  • Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.
  • Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues.
  • Provide technical direction to IT support staff.
  • Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.
  • Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention.
  • Create scale-able, automated solutions for our customer base.
  • Establish multi-platform versions of the software package.
  • Write tests for existing and created code to ensure compatibility and stability.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
  • Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Evaluate hardware and software and resolve LAN/MAN/WAN network related problems., Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM’s overall compensation and benefits package for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • CSP Associate level cloud certification/s in either AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, Google Cloud.
  • Professional level certification a plus
  • 5+ years of IT experience with a combination of:
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS
  • Working knowledge of AWS services, Linux, and cloud networking

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new AWS technologies and best practices.
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic and DevOps tools is a plus.
  • Broad troubleshooting knowledge to include the areas of storage, backups, server operating systems and networks.
  • Knowledge of cloud service providers.
  • Cloud command line scripting skills
  • Documentation skills to include creating and updating detailed environment design, installation, and support documentation.
  • Outstanding communication, project & priority management, and collaboration skills.
