Job description

As a Geospatial Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in modernizing utility infrastructure mapping by ensuring the integrity of data migrated into advanced GIS platforms. You will leverage your expertise in Esri software and spatial analysis to drive accuracy, improve system connectivity, and advocate for high-quality user experiences throughout the testing lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Validate the accuracy of complex utility mapping data by performing rigorous spatial queries and attribute audits.
  • Ensure structural and cable connectivity integrity within the GIS environment to support reliable network modeling.
  • Design and implement map symbology solutions to enhance data visualization and operational clarity.
  • Lead comprehensive testing initiatives, including UAT and system acceptance, to ensure vendor deliverables meet technical specifications.
  • Manage test planning, execution, and defect tracking using tools like Azure DevOps to maintain high project standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user feedback into actionable GIS system improvements.
  • Interpret electrical and gas utility documentation to support ongoing infrastructure mapping projects.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spatial analysis?, * Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of professional experience utilizing Esri ArcMap and related GIS software.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in spatial analysis, spatial queries, and building MXDs.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within a utility or infrastructure-focused organization., * Familiarity with ArcFM or similar utility-specific mapping platforms.
  • Experience with automated testing workflows or project management software like Azure DevOps.
  • Strong organizational skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
