Job description

We’re working with a rapidly expanding tech company based in Fareham. As they continue to scale, they’re looking to bring a QA Engineer into their in-house engineering team to help ensure quality across their mobile (Flutter), web, and internal platforms.

This is a hands-on manual testing role suited for a Junior or Mid-Level QA professional who is passionate about quality, detail, and collaboration. You’ll play a vital role in identifying bugs, verifying features, and working closely with cross-functional teams. There’s also potential to grow into test automation or software development if you’re interested.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out manual testing across mobile apps, web platforms, and internal systems
  • Write and maintain clear, reusable test cases
  • Log and track bugs effectively, with accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to understand functionality and edge cases
  • Support regression, smoke, and release testing
  • Help refine internal QA processes and contribute to documentation
  • (Optional) Get involved in automation testing or UAT/customer feedback as you grow

Requirements

  • A detail-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality software
  • Experience in manual QA for mobile or web applications
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work across multiple platforms

Desirable (Not Essential):

  • Exposure to tools such as Postman, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Interest in coding or automation (e.g., Dart, Python, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, accessibility testing, or CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience testing apps built with Flutter

Benefits & conditions

  • Flexible working hours and a generous holiday allowance that increases with tenure
  • Entertainment perks including Netflix and Spotify contributions
  • Regular team events, paid socials, and complimentary meals/snacks
  • Access to an onsite gym, barista, and games area (including pool)
  • Ongoing support for professional development, certifications, and upskilling
