Systems Administrator II

We are hiring for a Systems Administrator II to provide 100% onsite support for a Cyber Defensive Systems contract located near Scott Air Force Base, IL., Assist with the following activities Install, configure, and troubleshoot server systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, Appliances). Work with the team and Lead Engineer to identify, assess, and present options for meeting the functional and technical requirements, which may include hardware and/or software. Help with the Management and configuration of VDI environments. Document and enforce hardware standards. Willingness to learn how to manage and maintain IP addressing schema. Works with the team to performs security hardening, patching, and server certificate updates. Works with Cloud technologies. Perform other tasks as directed by Lead Engineers or Project Manager. Provide transparent and regular status updates in requested format.

Ability to work independently, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team informed. Excellent customer facing skills. Excellent researching, decision-making and organizational skills are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Visio. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate. Exposure to Virtualization and application migrations in general. Understand snapshot, cloning and vMotion. Knowledge of server hardware, storage, and networking concepts in virtualized environments. Experience with NSX tool, install, configure and various migration strategies.

Certifications and Education Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-10 years relevant experience additional years of applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. ITIL training and/or certification. Must possess an active DoD 8570, IAT Level II Certification at your start date example Sec+ CE or higher

Preferred Qualifications: VMware certifications (such as VCP, VCAP, VCIX) are highly desirable. MCSE certification. Experience with vRealize tools such as vROPs, VRNI, HCX, and vCloud. ITSM knowledge and experience, particularly with Remedy., Clearance: Current and Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI, MUST HAVE TS with ability for TS SCI - preference is to have HAD or HAVE an SCI
