Piper Companies is hiring a (Intermediate - Senior) for an innovative located in Durham, NC. The Software Engineer will join a growing technology team focused on building data-driven solutions, enhancing customer experiences, and developing scalable applications that drive the business forward. The Software Engineer must be based in or near to support a

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and APIs
• Build and enhance backend services using Node.js and JavaScript technologies
• Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React
• Design and implement cloud-based solutions within AWS
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to deliver technical solutions
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making
• Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and production issues
• Contribute to best practices for software development, testing, and deployment

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Strong full-stack development experience with a heavier focus on backend development
• Extensive JavaScript development experience
• Strong experience in Javascript (ideally React / Node)
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of SQL and Relational Databases
