Job description
The Fleet Maintenance Admin is an integral contributor to the goal of optimizing the truck fleet maintenance costs and minimizing truck downtime throughout all of the System. The Fleet Administrator will administer and perform data entry into the fleet maintenance software system, along with providing support to operations in Trouble shooting TMW and People Net software systems. Position will provide detailed reports to the Fleet Maintenance Director on truck performance and cost.
Essential Job Functions
Perform research and analytical work as needed with a focus on cost reduction.
Monitor and analyze the following:
- Truck maintenance cost trends
- Truck performance
- Truck downtime
- Keep inventories of company decals, people net parts, cameras and order with vendors as needed.
- Perform daily reports of drivers and equipment changes.
- Mpg, driver and equipment performance reports monthly.
- Company owned tire inventory reports.
- Company owned equipment recall notifications sent out and tracked for completion.
- Outside vendor invoices & costs.
- Shop performance reports.
- Fuel economy trends
- Processes warranty paperwork and monitor warranty claim status.
- Monitor PM cycles and provide status reports.
- Manage and input equipment changes in EBE maintenance software, TMW and People Net programs.
- Monitor the company cell phone plan and report issues to the Fleet Maintenance Director.
- Assist with new vendor accounts and perform reports to compare vendors.
- Shop tool ordering.
- Order pin numbers, add drivers and order cards for the company’s fuel card program and provide summary reports.
Requirements
Experience Required: High-level computer literacy. Well-developed Excel skills. Good written & verbal communications skills.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferences: Trucking experience preferred, EBE Fleet Maintenance software, People Net, TMW - preferred but not required., * Working knowledge of truck (class 8) trailer / chassis maintenance repairs preferred.
- Broad understanding of fleet maintenance policies, DOT standards & industry practices preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and communicate conclusions.
- Ability to work with outside vendors.
- Good organizational skills, including the ability to work in a fast paced environment as an individual as well as with a team.
Required education:
- High school or equivalent
