Data Center Support

Resource must be a senior data center technician who can provide BAU and Project work for tasks that include the following: Rack and Stack Hardware, such as routers, switches, servers, and such. Troubleshoot MMF/SMF and RJ45 connections between various devices types. Troubleshoot and replace defective server hardware. Troubleshoot and isolate the root cause of the failure of the issue reported in the data center. Documentation of MACs of servers, routers, switches and such devices. Shipping and Receiving of all shipments and the inventory of each item into the Asset Management tool. Provide on-call escalation of issues for after-hours support. Provide on-site coverage on various shifts covering morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends. What the role might involve

• Infrastructure operations: Managing and maintaining physical and virtual data center environments, including server racks, cabling, and cooling systems.
• Hardware and software support: Troubleshooting and repairing IT equipment, performing upgrades, and ensuring system uptime.
• Inventory and asset management: Tracking and managing IT assets, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining compliance with data center standards.
• Security and compliance: Following data center regulatory and security protocols, especially for handling sensitive client data.
• Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to support business continuity, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects.

• Technical skills: Knowledge of server hardware, networking (Layer 1 3), and possibly Linux/Windows administration.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT, or CCNA preferred.
• Experience: 1 5+ years in IT operations, data center, or warehouse/supply chain environments, with experience in hardware break-fix, inventory management, and compliance.
• Soft skills: Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
