Job description

We are seeking an energetic and strategic Programming Manager to lead the planning, execution, and management of diverse events and programs that elevate our brand presence and foster meaningful connections with our audiences. In this dynamic role, you will oversee all aspects of event coordination, client communication, and team leadership to ensure seamless delivery of memorable experiences. Your expertise in event marketing, budgeting, and hospitality industry standards will drive successful initiatives that align with organizational goals.   • Manage event budgets meticulously, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors, caterers, and venue staff to execute flawless events, negotiating contracts and upselling additional services when appropriate.
  • Oversee all aspects of event management software and CRM systems to track registrations, client interactions, and post-event feedback.
  • Lead a team of event coordinators and support staff, providing guidance on project management, time management, and customer service excellence.
  • Facilitate client communication by understanding their needs, presenting proposals, and managing expectations throughout the planning process.
  • Execute marketing initiatives for events through targeted outreach, social media promotion, and partnership development to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within hospitality environments such as hotels or banquet halls.
  • Monitor event performance metrics post-event to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning or event management within the hospitality or related industries such as hotels or restaurants.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with event management software and CRM systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful upselling and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing event budgets from inception through execution while maintaining profitability.
  • Background in hospitality industry roles such as banquet management or catering is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with fundraising activities or guest services can be advantageous for broader program development.
