Adjunct Instructor - AI and Business Transformation Strategy

California Miramar University is looking for an AI and Business Transformation Strategy Adjunct instructor to join our adjunct faculty team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and passion for teaching. As the Adjunct Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for CalMU students., * Deliver clear, engaging, and effective lectures and hands-on exercises to students at various skill levels, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning.

• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and professional development among students.
• Utilize technology and multimedia resources effectively to enrich classroom instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic performance, projects, and assignments to promote continuous improvement and achievement of learning outcomes.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues in AI and Business Transformation through continuous professional development and networking.
• Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development activities, and institutional initiatives to contribute to the overall academic community and promote institutional excellence.
• Maintain regular communication with students, colleagues, and departmental leadership to ensure academic rigor, student success, and institutional effectiveness.

Note: This Adjunct Faculty position will be teaching 8-week courses

• A Master’s degree in AI and Business or adjacent fields is required; a PhD is preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in AI and Business Transformation Strategy
• A minimum of two years of previous teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and engage diverse student populations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects the diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences among students and colleagues.
• Proficiency in instructional technology and educational software platforms for delivering online, hybrid, or blended learning experiences is an asset.
• Passion for teaching, mentorship, and student success, with a dedication to inspiring the next generation of professionals and leaders.

Physical Demands/Environment:

Adjunct Faculty must be able to use a computer and understand the basics of web-based learning and teaching platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and/or Google Meet. Must be able to navigate and effectively use a learning management system such as Moodle., * Master’s (Required), * Higher education teaching: 2 years (Preferred)

This position is part-time and may require evening availability to accommodate class schedules.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
